What's New

  • High Demand GPU Notifications As of this writing, Salad still has plenty of available GPUs of every class exposed on Salad Cloud. However, that may change in the future! If that happens, you'll see GPU classes with limited availability flagged with a 'High Demand' label. You'll also see a banner in the Portal, letting you know that it may take longer than usual to allocate these GPUs.

  • Optional Authentication for Networking For some use cases, authentication using your Salad API key for networking to containers running on Salad Cloud isn't a great fit. For this reason, authentication is now an optional choice when configuring networking. Note that we highly recommend implementing your own authentication system if you opt for the unauthenticated option.

  • Obfuscated Domain Names To increase obfuscation of domain names by popular request, we've added a random guid to all hostnames generated by Salad.

  • 24 and 30 GB RAM Options By popular demand, we've increased the maximum ram requirement in the API to 30GB, and exposed 24GB and 30GB RAM options in the Portal.

Bug Fixes

  • You should see cleaner, more thorough docs pages with updated screenshots to reflect the new UI.
  • Previously, when editing an existing container group, an inaccurate price was displayed. This has been fixed.
  • We've fixed multiple UI bugs that, in certain edge cases, could impact the user experience on the Salad Cloud Portal.
